The mission of the Undergraduate Research, Innovative, and Creative Activities (URiCA) Program at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is to empower students with opportunities and experiences that allow them to ask questions, explore creativity, seek answers, and expand their knowledge through collaboration, mentorship, and various forms of inquiry.

Tyler Brasington has always had a fascination observing bears, but didn’t know how to turn it into a career. With the help of URiCA he was able to leverage his undergraduate research experience to land a job as a bear management ranger at a national park.
